Term Defintion
Blind Embossing and Debossing The process of stamping a metal die into a substrate to produce a decorative raised or indented surface. A blind emboss or deboss is essentially the naked impression left by the die in the substrate. An emboss may be made with foil to give colouration to the design.
Board A paper-based substrate that is thicker and heavier than paper. Board generally has a grammage or weight over 224gsm.
